My job asked me if I was willing to move to a new facility that they are opening. They'd want me to start there half way through April. Absolutely not. There is absolutely no way I could do that. One it isn't in LA and the travel time would be ridiculous. This would mean I'd need to move. They've only given me like 2 1/2 - 3 week notice about this. Don't they realize anyone would need more notice than that? It was good that they didn't seem very shocked that I said no. Honestly!

I've noticed that the majority of the clients are entirely too nosey. I had to work behind the desk today instead of what I normally do. Oh I was still expected to keep up with my case manager duties, but they needed someone to man the desk and sign clients in and out and deal with the everyday hum drum of what goes on. I don't appreciate trying to do my case manage work at the desk when I've got sensitive client information to work with and I've got a multitude of guys trying to read it over my shoulder or grab papers that have nothing to do with them.
And then there is all the "Miss D! Miss D!" or "Miss Elizabeth! Can I just talk to you for one sec?" when they know good and well that while I'm keeping my paperwork up to snuff behind the desk I am not meeting with them. Also? My name is Elisabeth, no z in there. And it's not so hard to say my entire last name.
Maybe it is time I schedule a vacation into my books.

I wonder frequently what goes through the mind of my clients. They often seem to be doing so well before they fall. They get a job, they pay their dues, they follow the rules and they keep clean. And then out of nowhere they're hiding pills and that idiotic incense, K2. Is the high really worth it? All of them state how they don't want to go back to prison or jail and yet they do things they know will land them there. And of course then I am left to deal with their friends who are still in the program who seem to think I was out to get their friend and that is why they are gone now. It is frequently annoying to work with adult men who are incapable of taking responsibility for themselves.
Luckily it is the weekend and not one where I have to work. I fully plan on not thinking about work all weekend. Let's see if that works. I also don't have anything scheduled in this weekend, so I might just spend the weekend lazing about. Perhaps read the weekend away.
